The 1896, Studios and Stages, is probably one of the coolest venues I’ve seen. Located in Bushwick, it’s brimming with industrial-chic charm that’s perfect for a spring Brooklyn wedding. Plus, they were totally gung-ho to host Jennifer and Adam’s wedding after their original venue shut its doors two weeks before! Gorgeous and flexible? A win. Plus, this venue was a perfect backdrop for Tanya to capture this pair’s amazing wedding celebrating. From the beautiful lace dress to Adam’s cool blue suit (sans tie), we couldn’t have dressed these guys better if we were doing a styled shoot! Dramatic gold-framed mirrors and vintage furniture made for some of our favorite getting ready photos.
Bushwick is a stellar location for portraits since it’s home to some of the best street art and graffiti in the five boroughs. Plus, these two are so natural in front of the camera. From the teary first look to a perfectly timed jumping shot, Jennifer and Adam were just pros. Their ceremony and cocktail hour were held in the outdoor courtyard before they headed into the main space where they dined with their guests among candlelight and romantic florals. Tanya and I still can’t decide which we like better: Jennifer’s lace dress or her incredible white jumpsuit she wore for the reception!
