Liberty View Farm, like Red Maple Vineyard, is right in my neck of the woods in upstate New York. It’s a working orchard and farm, full of veggie gardens, flowers, apple trees, and even some chickens. It’s a perfect setting for a rustic Hudson Valley farm wedding, and Betsy and Phil were the perfect couple to capture there. These two were game for everything, from a first look in the misty orchards to hopping in and out of the vintage cars on the grounds for portraits. I especially love the old buildings around the farmhouse, covered in vines and leaves. Seriously, I could spend all day there and never run out of places to photograph.
Their ceremony beneath an amazing old tree was as picturesque as their portraits. After the deal was sealed, they and their guests headed to their reception, housed in a barn strung with twinkle lights and a tent decorated with apple tree branches and red and purple florals. The food was delicious, and catered by a New Paltz staple, the Village Tea Room! They’re known for their cakes, pies, and other sweet treats too – can you believe that cake?
The love between Betsy and Phil made even the overcast, chilly day feel warm and cozy. Whether they were dancing with their guests or laughing and crying through a speech, it was hard to find them without a smile! I’m so glad we got to spend this pretty day on the farm together.
