Dreamy florals, romantic candlelight, a delicate dress and cork heels? Stacey and Matt’s spring wedding was a dream come true. This gorgeous pair started off their day at the Wythe Hotel, possibly my favorite place for getting ready photos – especially when we get to do a first look on the balcony! Then, it was off to McGolrick Park for a hand-in-hand walk in the early spring sun. From there we headed to the venue the Brooklyn Winery, stopping for some street photography in Williamsburg. Have I mentioned I love a Brooklyn Winery wedding? I love a Brooklyn Winery wedding. Seriously.
After they tied the knot, we spent a little time in the portrait room, named for the vintage photographs on the wall. Or perhaps the fact that it’s a perfect space for couple portraits. And of course, I had to snap a photo of Stacey’s killer cork heels on the iconic Brooklyn Winery tiles in the entryway. I love details that match the theme of the wedding!
Dinner was candlelight and romantic spring florals. Are peonies and tulips the best thing about spring? Possibly. Speeches were raucous and hilarious, especially when Matt’s brothers got up and gave out a shout out to Staten Island, Matt’s home. After that, all that was left to do was cut the cake and get dancing. And oh boy, did they dance.
I loved this wedding, I love this venue, and I loved working with this couple. It was a perfect April wedding and heck of a kick off to wedding season! I can only hope Stacey and Matt bring each other as much joy as shooting their amazing day brought me.
