Jessi and Michael’s November wedding at the Brooklyn Winery was definitely one for the books. These are some seriously funny people. Jessi’s even the head writer at Inside Amy Schumer! So of course, I was looking forward to this wedding all season. It did not disappoint.
Any wedding shoot that starts off at the Wythe Hotel is going to be great. Jessi’s details were darling – from her tiered Leanne Marshall dress to her lacy Stuart Weitzman heels. She and Michael nailed vintage-inspired New York glam perfectly. Couple portraits in front of the iconic Wythe wallpaper and then around Williamsburg were full of such genuine smiles and laughs. It’s easy when you have two hilarious folks who make each other so happy! But nothing compared to that heartfelt first look. Grooms that cry are the cutest.
You might already know this, but I love a Brooklyn Winery wedding. The industrial chic vibe there was a perfect fit for Jessi and Michael. Rabbi Andy Bachman’s ceremony in the atrium was as hilarious as it was touching. And holy moly, what a gorgeous chuppah! I was a huge fan of how these lovebirds put their personal style into every detail of the day. Even their ketubah had the sweetest floral decorations.
After the ceremony and some cocktails came one of the highlights of the night. These speeches had the groom and bride (and me!) in tears laughing. Then it was time to dance! Dancing is always one of my favorite parts of any wedding, and these guys broke it down. The fantastic Howard Fishman band provided the soundtrack while Jessi and Michael busted some serious moves with their guests.
The newlyweds finished off the night with a sweet treat from Nine Cakes with one of my all-time favorite cake toppers. It was a perfect end to the season and I’m definitely going to remember this wedding for, like, ever.
